Check a transaction before signing: what it would do, what it would cost, or why it would fail.

Rate class: Heavy. Counts against your heavy requests per second.

Runs a transaction against the chain's current state without signing or sending it, and explains what would happen: success or failure, balance changes per address with USD, objects created, changed or deleted, events, gas in MIST and SUI, values returned by each command and one plain sentence. Use it before signing, and as a read-only call: a Move call that returns a value shows it in commandResults. Send txBytes (what a wallet is about to sign) or sender plus a JSON programmable transaction block, with optional gasBudget and gasPrice. On failure it names the package, module and function, the abort code and the error constant when the module names its errors, and also explains out of gas, short balances and missing or stale objects in plain words. 10 credits.

Parameters

Name	Type	Description
txBytes	string	The unsigned TransactionData as base64, the bytes a wallet is about to sign. When it has no gas payment, tide selects gas coins for the sender.
sender	string	0x address that would sign. Required with transaction.
transaction	object or string	A programmable transaction block as JSON, the output of Transaction.toJSON() in the Sui TypeScript SDK. Object inputs may be bare ids: tide resolves versions from the chain.
gasBudget	string	Gas budget in MIST. Left out, tide measures the gas and adds a 25 percent margin.
gasPrice	string	Gas price in MIST per unit. Left out, the reference gas price of the current epoch is used.
