MCP and agents
A remote MCP server with nothing to install. Add one URL to your client.
Connect
The endpoint is https://api.tide.ad/mcp (streamable HTTP). It works with no key at the keyless tier. Add a key for more volume.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http tide https://api.tide.ad/mcp?api-key=YOUR_API_KEYCursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

}Tools
Each tool has a short description that tells the agent when to use it, the units it returns and an example. A tool call costs the credits of the method it runs.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| tide_get_transaction | One transaction by digest, parsed, with a plain description. |
| tide_get_transactions_for_address | An address's history, newest first, with filters. |
| tide_get_wallet | Balances, identity and a PnL summary for an address or SuiNS name. |
| tide_get_holdings_at | Every coin an address held at a past time or checkpoint. |
| tide_get_assets_by_owner | NFTs, kiosk items and optionally coins an address owns. |
| tide_get_asset | One asset by object id or coin type. |
| tide_get_coin | A coin's price, market data and safety checks. |
| tide_get_coin_holders | Top holders of a coin, now or at a past time. |
| tide_get_candles | Price candles for a coin. |
| tide_get_object | An object, with its version history. |
| tide_get_events | Events by type or package over a time range. |
| tide_resolve_name | SuiNS name to address, or address to name. |
| tide_search | Search names, coins, collections, packages and addresses. |
| tide_gas_price | Gas price estimate, optionally for shared objects. |
| tide_docs | Search these docs from inside the agent. |
Detail levels
Every tool takes detail. The default keeps answers small so they fit an agent's context. Tools that return lists also return a cursor when there is more.
| detail | You get |
|---|---|
| summary | Lists cut to 10 items, with explain text and raw blocks dropped. The default. |
| standard | Lists up to 50 items. |
| full | Everything the method returns. |
Machine docs
| File | What it is |
|---|---|
| https://tide.ad/llms.txt | A short index: base URLs, auth and one line per method. Also at https://api.tide.ad/llms.txt. |
| https://api.tide.ad/llms-full.txt | Every method with a parameter table and a curl example. |
| https://api.tide.ad/openapi.json | OpenAPI 3.1. Generate a typed client from it. JSON-RPC methods appear as POST / operations. |
| https://api.tide.ad/catalog.json | The method registry as JSON: parameters, results, examples and credits. |
Every answer has an asOf field, every USD value has its price time, enums never change names, and every list has a cursor. Agents can rely on these.
Keys for agents
An agent can get its own Free key by signing a challenge with any Sui key. No email, no payment. See Keys for agents.
Add fields and view=compact to REST and JSON-RPC calls to keep results small when you are not using MCP.
