The Next Wave by artist Eric Mancini draws inspiration from the famous Japanese wave print “Under the Wave off Kanagawa” (The Great Wave) Sui in Japanese means water and the series presented by Tradeport is titled the Sui Tidal Wave. This is Eric Mancini's first ever Sui NFT. To add another layer to the piece this is also a nod to the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin being the father of blockchains I painted the piece with the Bitcoin orange background. Satoshi Nakamoto has also used The Great Wave piece to symbolize Bitcoins impact on financial markets. Satoshi also published a book of wave illustrations titled “Wave and Ripple”. The Next Wave points to the next wave of blockchain technologies with the introduction of Sui alongside many more.
